What causes poor embroidery design quality?

Well as you might expect there is no single controlling factor - there are a number of factors and any one or more can have a negative impact on the quality of finished embroidery.

Your benchmark test
When we install a new Barudan machine for you, it comes with a set of test designs which we use to check machine functions and embroidery quality.
Keep these designs for future use! You will be able to run any or all of the designs at yearly intervals to make sure that you are still producing top notch quality.

Don't forget that if you have your Barudan serviced every year by our technicians then we guarantee that the stitch quality will still be as good after 7 years, as it was on day one!

The most common causes of poor design quality are:
1. The design has not been digitised or constructed well
2. Your machine is either in need of a service OR the make you have purchased is simply
not of a high enough quality to produce good quality embroidery.
3. Incorrect choice/use of backing fabric
4. Fabric is not hooped correctly
5. Incorrect needle size / type (or damaged needle)

The weakest link
No matter how good the machine, the design, the thread - if you use the wrong backing or don't hoop the fabric properly then the finished quality will suffer.
Everything must be right for optimum quality!

Some things just don't make sense
I truly don't understand why someone would buy the best quality machine for example and then cut corners on consumables like thread or backing. It just doesn't make sense!

It's like buying a new car because it is rated as the No.1 safest car on the market and then trying to save on running costs by buying the cheapest, nasty tyres which don't grip well.
