So what is Design File Server?
This excellent free software is available as a download only to registered members of the Barudan Australia website who have logged in.
Up to 8 Barudan machines (models N series, D series or V series) to be connected to a computer by COM cable connections for high speed download of designs.
Note: Most desktop computers have only 1 COM port so in order to connect more than one machine it may be necessary to add more COM ports OR to use USB to serial port converters. |
It's easy to install and very effective.
When you download Design File server you also get the full PDF file of instructions on how to install and use the program. It's well presented with images of the software windows and tools.
DFS can be used in two different modes of operation - Normal & Protocol. Normal operation allows you to select designs at the computer and load them into a queue for each machine. Protocol mode allows you to enter the design name at the machine's controller which then send a search signal to the DFS program. The design is found and downloaded to the machine in just a few seconds |
